About “Get better” football camp Our camp is non-contact camp, designed to offer 4 evenings of football instruction that will enhance young football players all around football technique and ability. All camp coaches are currently coaching on the high school or youth level. Campers are pushed to improve and maximize their potential through positive feedback and reinforcement. Campers will have the opportunity to train each evening, work hard, improve, make new friends, and have fun. Each athlete is encouraged to develop new skills and achieve a new level of play and self-confidence. Campers work on conditioning, fundamentals and technique at individual positions, plus offensive and defensive team play. Campers are exposed to all position groups. They will learn, starting with the fundamentals of three-point stance, two-point stance, hitting stance/technique, route running, secondary play, and tackling technique. No live contact drills are conducted. All blocking/tackling techniques are done with tackling dummies. There is no player-to-player live contact. Our team periods focus on 7-on-7 competition. All campers are given the opportunity to participate on offense and defense in a scrimmage-type setting while coaches, parents, friends, and other campers cheer them on. Each night, we end camp with an inspirational guest speaker who has played or is currently playing Division I football or in the NFL. Previous guest speakers have included:
· Mark Tucker, All-American USC; NFL – Falcons and Cardinals; AFL – Rattlers · Kerry Taylor – receiver ASU · Bernard Wilson – East Tennessee State and NFL – Titans and Cardinals · Michael Robinson – San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks · Billy Davis – former DC Arizona Cardinals · Colin Parker – linebacker ASU · Brandon Moore – San Francisco 49ers: Las Vegas Locomotives UFL
Each camp coach brings over 15 years of coaching experience, ranging from youth to college teams. The staff brings the “Hamilton philosophy” that has helped build Hamilton’s winning tradition, including 6 state 5A-I titles.
